Platzangst RAM shorts - First look.

A box of winter riding kit arrived on my door this morning. Amongst all the knee warmers, rain jackets and socks were these Platzangst "RAM" shorts.

Made from 100% PU coated Oxford polyester, the shorts manage to be both waterproof and breathable and are light weight despite their heavy duty appearance. An added bonus are the 6 zipped vents, 4 at the front and two on the back, great for the push back up the hill.

The "RAM" also comes with loads of useful pockets, exactly where you would need them, and an "uphill ticket" holder ready for those days in the Alps.

To keep things comfy there is an adjustable waist band with "Space Pads", sections of foam placed around the fleece waistline, and a large piece of covered neoprene to the rear to accommodate flex and stretch while pedaling.

The large size is perfect for a 33-34" waist, and they are long enough to cover the knees and knee pads too.

Fin took part in the 12hour race at Cyclothon UK at Brands Hatch last week. Shot this on a tight hairpin near the end of the 2.3mile lap about half way through the day.

A shot from the Halo BDS at Moelfre a couple of weeks ago. Its not the best framed shot for a regular photo, but for I love the space that it gives Gee to look into.

Shot for MBUK. It wasnt raining when we unloaded the van, but once we got down into the woods it started and got very dark. Ended up having to change the shot to suit but ended up with this corner. Loving the rain in the top left of the frame and the bit of roost coming from the wheels too.

I got a new Nikkor 10.5mm f2.8 fisheye lens for my D300 a while ago, and picked up some TwinLink radio triggers for my flashes at the same time. Joel Anderson put the whole lot to good use at Triscombe on an uplift day with his dad!!
